The Health Yetu Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to international healthcare, with a special focus on healthcare in Africa. Comprising experienced doctors and driven young professionals, we are united by a single mission: to bridge the healthcare gap in underserved communities. Our commitment goes beyond raising financial support and procuring essential medical equipment; we passionately invest our time in hands-on medical projects to ensure sustainable healthcare solutions in remote African regions.
"We start where the roads end"
The central component of our work is the comprehensive, multi-day Eye Camps, Gynecology Camps, Dental Camps, and General Healthcare Camps. These camps and screenings are crucial, particularly for identifying and treating cataracts. The cataract surgeries, brief 20-minute procedures, have a profound impact, often restoring vision and transforming lives. Our team of doctors from Lions SighFirst Hospital (LSEH) performs 40-50 cataract surgeries in a day.
