Cataracts, where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy and causes blindness if untreated, are the leading cause of blindness worldwide. In northern Kenya, harsh conditions like intense UV exposure, dust, and limited healthcare access make cataracts common, leaving many unable to work, care for their families, or live independently.
For the past four years, in partnership with Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital, we’ve organized five eye care camps in remote areas, providing free cataract surgeries. In just 15 minutes and for $60, these surgeries restore sight, transforming lives and lifting the burden on families and communities.
Help us bring light back into the lives of those in need and fight preventable blindness.
