Naret Organization

Northern Kenia

Naret is a community-based organization working across Samburu, Isiolo, Marsabit, and Laikipia counties in Northern Kenya. It serves marginalized pastoralist communities, with a particular focus on women, girls, and youth who have long been underserved by development and health programs.

The organization was founded by Dr. Mayian Lekirimpoto, Director of Family Health for the Isiolo County Government and HPV Program Team Leader at Health Yetu. Through trusted partnerships, Naret is helping build healthier, safer, and more resilient communities across Northern Kenya.

Pharus Foundation

Global

Pharus Foundation was established by the Mars family in the Netherlands to channel a significant portion of their wealth back into society through purposeful philanthropy.

The name Pharus—Latin for “lighthouse”—reflects the foundation’s mission: to serve as a guiding light for those in need, offering direction, hope, and safety amid the most challenging circumstances.

Working in close collaboration with a select group of strategic partners, Pharus Foundation supports sustainable initiatives that create lasting impact and help build a brighter future for underserved communities worldwide.

Each year, the foundation sponsors approximately 200 life-changing surgical procedures for children and extends care to underserved populations through mobile clinics.

Beyond this flagship partnership, Alba Care also supports select grassroots initiatives, broadening its reach and impact across Kenya.

Lake Turkana Wind Power

Lake Turkana Wind Power (LTWP) is Africa’s largest operational wind farm and a cornerstone of Kenya’s renewable energy transition. Located in Marsabit County, the 310 MW wind farm comprises 365 turbines that supply clean, reliable electricity to Kenya’s national grid—contributing approximately 10–12 percent of the country’s total energy needs and significantly reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

The project supports local employment, advances economic opportunities in northern Kenya, drives innovation in green energy infrastructure, and contributes to national climate goals.

WoC partners with communities to deliver practical initiatives that strengthen education, healthcare, water access, peacebuilding, and other priority needs.
