Upcoming medical outreach in Moite 2026

March 2026 Integrated Health Camp – Moite, Marsabit County (5 days)

In March 2026, Health Yetu will launch its first large-scale medical camp of the year in Moite, Marsabit County. The outreach will bring together all three specialist teams—Eye, Dental, and HPV—for five full days of free, high-impact healthcare services. This integrated deployment supports our long-term goal of ensuring annual access to essential eye care, dental care, and HPV vaccination across Marsabit and Samburu counties by 2030.

What’s new in Moite

  • Expanded dental capacity: We have increased to 4 mobile dental units through recent donations.
  • Reliable power in the field: A newly acquired generator will support continuous powering of all mobile dental units and equipment—reducing downtime and improving throughput.
  • Projected throughput boost: Each new mobile dental unit increases procedure capacity by ~38%; with two additional units, the projected increase is ~76% total compared to the prior baseline configuration (2 × 38%).
  • New hire: Our new Operations Manager, Emmanuel Orguba, will be leading the efforts in organizing this medical camp.
  • New quality control: We have officially installed the Quality Control Team to work closely together with all stakeholders to ensure the highest standard of care.

Target impact (5 days)

During the Moite camp, our teams are planning to deliver:

  • 150-200 cataract operations
  • 1,500–2,000 dental procedures
  • 500-750 HPV vaccinations

Track record and why this matters

Health Yetu has demonstrated strong delivery capacity across integrated programming, with 326 cataract surgeries, 2,306 dental procedures, and 3,254 HPV vaccinations delivered in 2025. This Moite camp builds directly on that operational foundation while expanding reach and efficiency.

Partnerships and delivery model

As with prior camps, the Moite deployment is designed to integrate with local health structures—leveraging Kenyan clinical leadership and alignment with public systems to support scalability and continuity of care.

Closing

Supporters can contribute by sponsoring a camp (full or partial), funding specific interventions (cataract surgery, dental procedures, HPV vaccination), or supporting growth accelerators that expand field capacity.
