Five HPV vaccination camps - Marsabit County

Five HPV Vaccination Camps Successfully Completed Across Marsabit County

Since April 2026, Health Yetu has successfully conducted five HPV vaccination outreach camps across Marsabit County, reaching both school-going and non-school-going girls with life-saving cervical cancer prevention services and health education. The outreach included two Manyatta Edition camps focused on non-school-going girls and three school-based vaccination campaigns. Through the Manyatta Edition outreaches, 1,191 girls received the HPV vaccine, while more than 3,900 girls and community members participated in health education sessions on cervical cancer prevention, HPV, and the importance of vaccination.

The three school-based outreaches reached an additional 1,722 girls with HPV vaccination services and provided health education to more than 4,000 students. These school campaigns continue to play a critical role in increasing awareness and protecting adolescent girls from future cervical cancer risks.

A major milestone was achieved during the final outreach, where Health Yetu administered 373 HPV vaccinations in a single day—the highest number of vaccinations delivered in one day since the program began.

In total, the five camps vaccinated 2,913 girls and provided health education to more than 7,900 beneficiaries across Marsabit County. These achievements reflect Health Yetu's ongoing commitment to expanding access to preventive healthcare services in underserved communities and accelerating progress toward a cervical cancer-free future.
